BIO

Claudia Țapardel is a prominent public figure recognized across Europe and internationally.

In 2023, she was honored as one of the “TOP 50 EU Influencers,” joining an elite group of leaders in politics, economics, and media in Brussels. She possesses extensive expertise in political and legislative affairs, leadership, and strategic management in both public and private sectors, coupled with a strategic command of public strategic communication.

Presently, Claudia serves as the President of the Women in Transport and Tourism Association (WTTA)—the first organization of its kind in Romania and at international level, established to empower, connect, inspire and to give a greater visibility and recognition to exceptional women in both transport and tourism industries.

Moreover, she assumed the governmental role of Vice President of the National Citizenship Authority – Romania since May 2024. She is the Founder of CT EU Affairs, a leading consultancy company.

Claudia has also made her mark as a former Member of the European Parliament (2014–2019). During her tenure, she contributed significantly to the Transport and Tourism Committee, Budget Committee, and Committee on Constitutional Affairs, and she was the Chair Woman of the Intergroup for the European Tourism Development.

She was nominated three times for the prestigious “MEP of the Year” Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the Transport and Tourism Committee and her significant role in shaping forward-thinking legislative policies for both industries.

Holding a Ph.D. in Strategic Planning and Management, she has held numerous high-ranking public positions and leadership roles across both sectors.

Additionally, she is an Associate Professor at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.
