Former Professional Tennis Player, Olympic Medalist, Author, and Mental Performance Advocate
Horia Tecău is a former professional tennis player, three-time Grand Slam doubles champion, and Olympic silver medalist at the 2016 Rio Games. Over his career, he secured 38 ATP doubles titles and was renowned for his leadership, consistency, and exceptional teamwork on and off the court.
As a UNICEF National Ambassador in Romania, Horia has used his platform to advocate for children’s rights and education. He is also the first Romanian tennis player to author a children’s book “Life in the Rhythm of Tennis” sharing powerful lessons about resilience, courage, and gratitude through the lens of sport.
Post-retirement, Horia founded Mind. Set. Match., a performance mindset program for athletes and coaches, built on the principle that “Champions on the outside play from the inside.” Through this initiative, he brings insights into mental training, emotional discipline, and the psychology of high performance, offering a unique perspective from the world of elite sport to leaders, educators, and changemakers.
