BIO

Diana Buzoianu is currently the Minister of Environment, Water and Forests in Romania. By profession, she is a lawyer. She was elected for two terms as a Member of Parliament, and during her second term, she served as President of the Environment Committee, where she worked on numerous legislative proposals, some of which have already become reality.

In her current role, she focuses on improving the efficiency of environmental institutions, strengthening the protection of forests and water resources, and ensuring that public funds are used transparently and with real impact. She supports reforestation, better waste management, the expansion of green urban spaces, and stronger measures to prevent environmental damage and illegal exploitation. Her goal is to make environmental protection a long-term and shared national priority.
