Gabriela Nistor is one of the most experienced and respected leaders in the banking industry, with nearly three decades of a career dedicated to excellence in the field. Since 2013, she has been coordinating the retail, private banking and network activities at Banca Transilvania (BT), holding the position of Deputy CEO. As of October 2022, Gabriela took over the management of Idea::Bank, later transformed into Salt Bank, from the position of Managing Director.

During her 27-year career at Banca Transilvania, she implemented many innovative projects, set up the card business in BT, set up the call center activity and led the digitization of retail in BT, the most recent example being the BT Pay Digital Wallet. He grew with the bank and contributed to everything BT is today: market leader in retail, cards and online payments.

From 2021-2024, she was involved from the position of Vice President of the Romanian Association of Banks in financial and digital education initiatives and programs that helped to develop the financial-banking market.

From her position as CEO, Gabriela is the architect of what is today Salt Bank, the first 100% digital Romanian bank, part of the Banca Transilvania Group. In April 2024, she and her team launched the Salt banking app to the general public, a remarkable success with over 230,000 bank accounts opened in less than 3 months.

She graduated with an EMBA from the University of Sheffield, and in 2021 was a European finalist in the Study UK Alumni Awards in the Professional Achievements category.
