Joanna Żabierek has lived in Poznań her whole life and graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a degree in Polish studies with specialization in film and drama. She started her career working in the media – between 2007 and 2010 she was an editor in the foreign department in TV Biznes, a nationwide political and business news network. Then she joined the Polska Press Group, where she worked on audiovisual materials for the Group’s online services. In 2015 she moved to the press office of the Poznań Municipal Office. Currently, she is a press secretary of the Mayor of Poznań and a deputy head in charge of media communication and promotion of Poznań. In her free time, she enjoys doing sports and listening to jazz and classical piano music.
