Nina Angelovska

BIO
Nina Angelovska is a recognized entrepreneur, business leader, and former Minister of Finance — the first woman to hold this position in the Republic of North Macedonia.
She co-founded Grouper.mk, the first deal platform and leading e-commerce company in the country, which launched in 2011 and played a transformative role in shaping Macedonia’s digital commerce landscape. After a decade of leading and scaling the company, she successfully exited Grouper through its acquisition by the Polish group Asseco SEE (Payten).
Driven by her passion for digital transformation and innovation, Nina founded the Macedonian E-commerce Association in 2017, laying the groundwork for the sector’s collaborative growth. She has served on several boards, including the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, the European E-commerce and Omnichannel Trade Association (EMOTA), and Makedonski Telekom.
Committed to advancing gender equality, Nina established the Gender Equality Alliance in the Workplace (GEA) in 2022 and continues to advocate for women in technology, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Her impact has earned widespread recognition: she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2018, appointed one of seven global UNCTAD eTrade for Women Advocates in 2019, and was selected among Bloomberg Adria’s Top 50 People in 2023.
Most recently, she served as Director of Expansion for Ananas E-commerce (Delta Holding), leading market entries into North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She currently serves as President of the Macedonian Ecommerce Association, the Balkan E-commerce Alliance, and the Gender Equality Alliance, and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Skopje.
