Delina Ibrahimaj

BIO
Delina Ibrahimaj has served as Minister of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of
Albania since September 2025.
Previously, she served as Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate
(2023–2025) and Minister of Finance and Economy (2021–2023).
Prior to joining the Cabinet,
she held senior leadership positions in Albania’s public administration, including Director
General of Taxation (2019–2021) and Director General of the Institute of Statistics
(INSTAT) (2016–2019).
Dr. Ibrahimaj holds a PhD in Banking and Finance from the University of Rome “Tor
Vergata”, an MSc in General Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management and
International Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
Throughout her career, she has played a leading role in designing and implementing economic,
fiscal, investment, and business development policies, with a strong focus on sustainable
economic growth, innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, competitiveness, and
Albania’s European Union integration process.
She has also served as a member of the Statistics Council (INSTAT), the Governing Council of
FED Invest, and the Social Insurance Institute. Earlier in her career, she worked as an economist
at the Bank of Albania and held executive management positions in the private sector.
Dr. Ibrahimaj has completed specialized training in public administration, good governance, and
anti-corruption and is a certified trainer in these fields.
