Raluca Negulescu-Balaci is the Executive Director of UiPath Foundation, the non-profit founded in 2019 by the Romanian-American tech company UiPath to change the life trajectories of children living in poverty through long-term, personalized support and technology-enabled education. Since its inception, the Foundation has reached more than 80,000 children from underserved communities, powered in part by UiPath employees worldwide who have contributed over 30,000 volunteer hours (the equivalent of nearly 15 years of full-time work). With 17+ years at the intersection of education, technology, and systemic innovation, and a master’s in social innovation from WU Vienna, Raluca leads large-scale, data-driven interventions across the CEE region. The foundation’s most recent initiative, AI Generation, is an AI literacy curriculum for high school students developed in partnership with App Inventor Foundation (an MIT initiative) and aligned with UNESCO’s AI competency framework. Her guiding question: When the world changes this fast, who gets left behind and what are we prepared to do about it?
