Stav Cohen

BIO
Stav Cohen is the Head of Israel’s Economic Mission to Romania. In this role, she is responsible
for driving bilateral trade and economic relations between Israel and Romania, fostering cross-
border commercial partnerships, and expanding Israeli business presence in the region.
Cohen joined the Foreign Trade Administration at the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry
following an extensive career across public service and parliament. During her time at
headquarters, she served on key geographic desks, including Africa & the Middle East, where
she successfully managed the Economic Mission in Ghana remotely for nearly a year.
Prior to joining the Foreign Trade Administration, Cohen served as Senior Advisor to the Director
General of the Ministry of Agriculture. In this capacity, she oversaw strategy, policy planning,
regulation, and intergovernmental processes, while leading the ministry’s global
relations—including trade agreements, international summits, and diplomatic delegations to
Expo Dubai, COP27, and the Negev Summit. Earlier in her career, she served as a Parliamentary
Advisor in the Israeli parliament; The Knesset, where she drove legislative strategy, managed
committee preparations, and directed parliamentary work for the Lobby for Israeli Industry.
Stav holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and
American Studies, both from Tel Aviv University.
